OUR EFFECTIVE STRATEGY IS OPPOSITION TO MASS
IMMIGRATION VIA A MORATORIUM
Senator Arlen Specter hopes that the third time is the charm.
He recently said he plans to introduce what is virtually the same
outrageous Illegal Alien Amnesty Bill, which CCN and its ASAP
Coalition Allies defeated twice already this year, for action
when Congress reconvenes in September.
And Open Borders Senators Feinstein and Boxer are still pushing
their AgJobs and DREAM Act Amnesties as 'Silver Bullet' Bills.
Specter is no dummy, and he surely can not believe that his
massive "comprehensive" Alien Amnesty has a good chance
of passing in the 15 months remaining in this Session of Congress.
But it is clear to CCN what he is up to:
1)Push The Big Alien Amnesty Bill so that the more targeted Agjobs
and DREAM Act Amnesties will have a better chance of passing.
AND
2)Push his Big Amnesty to keep us on the defensive. AND
ABOVE ALL to
3) Push the Big Amnesty to ensure that the ONGOING MASSIVE LEGAL
IMMIGRATION FLOW of about two million a year, PLUS the Illegal
flow of two million plus per year, continues uninterrupted!
OUR COUNTERSTRATEGY
Obviously, The Strategy of Genuine Reductionists (as opposed to
Mass Immigration Management Groups) should be, and IS the Mirror
Image of Specter's Strategy:
PUSH FOR A ZERO-NET-IMMIGRATION MORATORIUM, and count each incremental
reduction as a victory.
But the Fatal Mistake of the Mass Immigration Management Groups
is that they begin by calling ONLY for Incremental Reductions.
Two National NeoConservative Mass Immigration Management Groups
that push ONLY for Incremental Reductions and REFUSE to push a
MORATORIUM weaken the cause of Genuine Immigration Reduction.
This de facto Mass Immigration 'MANAGEMENT' Strategy seriously
weakens our Genuine Reductionist Strategy.
It should be obvious that one asks for more than one expects
to get on the first round.
But we must keep on pushing for the ideal, which is a five year
zero-net immigration MORATORIUM, otherwise there is little hope
of getting even incremental reductions.
WHAT TO DO
1) Call and Fax your Senators and Representative and tell them
you do NOT want any Illegal Alien Amnesty whether it be Specter's
or the Agjobs, or the DREAM Bill.
Use this Congressional Holiday to VISIT the Members of Congress
and their aides in their District offices.
2) Tell them you DO want a ZERO-NET-IMMIGRATION MORATORIUM!
3) Ask other "Reform" organizations to send you written
evidence they have signed on to the ASAP Coalition's 4 Point program
the centerpiece of which is a MORATORIUM.
If they fail to provide evidence they are PUSHING a MORATORIUM
as their first priority you have good reason to question their
sincerity about supporting the Genuine Reductionist Cause.
And, BTW, ONLY by pushing a MORATORIUM can the Open Border's
Lobby's Claim that "The Solution to the Illegal Alien Problem
is to Legalize Them All", be defeated.
Check with the organizations you support to make sure they have
signed on to the Moratorium initiative and the ASAP Coalition
4 Point Program and specifically make the Moratorium push their
first priority.
FINALLY, clearly, this battle is not over by any means.
